The Kava Shop is a New Zealand-based supplier of premium noble kava, operating under Himex Trading Ltd. We exist to make world-class kava accessible to every New Zealander — whether you’re discovering it for the first time or you’ve been drinking shells for years.
We made a deliberate choice to source from a single origin. Not because we couldn’t find more, but because we don’t want to compromise. When you know exactly where your kava comes from — the island, the soil, the farmers — you can stand behind it completely. That’s the standard we hold ourselves to.
Our Principles
Noble Kava Only
Not all kava is equal. Noble varieties are cultivated for quality, balance, and clean effects. We never carry tudei (two-day) kava — only varieties grown to the highest traditional standards.
Single Origin
Every batch of Colocolo Gold comes from Kadavu, Fiji — one of the Pacific’s most respected kava-growing islands, known for its deep volcanic soil and generations of traditional farming knowledge.
